Radiation Modifiers: Treatment Overview and Future Investigations

Many compounds interact with therapeutic radiation. This article presents some of the more common agents in current clinical use and is divided into two main areas: radiation potentiators and radiation protectors. This overview gives the reader a brief background on potential concurrent drugs and biologics to which patients may be exposed while undergoing therapeutic radiation.
